Organize Your Home During The Quarantine

As most of us are spending more time at home right now, decluttering has landed on the top of many to-do lists. In some ways, there's never been a better time to organize.

For donations, it’s not the best time since many organizations are closed. But keep everything ready for when the time comes and you can make some one else happy .

Here some tips for organizing each area of your house!

BEDROOM

A good habit to have is to always make your bed in the morning. This will give you a sense of peace and cleanliness in your room!

Next, take a look at your wardrobe. Considering that some items may only be worn for special events or big presentations, set aside anything you haven't worn in the past 12 months.

Neatly fold and organize the things you want to keep by activity, style or colour. Box away seasonal items, like big coats and warm scarves, to give your clothes more breathing room.

KITCHEN

As you spend more time in the kitchen? Set aside all of the tools or appliances you notice you never use, box these items for the time being.

If you think they are worth keeping, you can move it in one of our storage units.  Make sure they are clean and dry, and then store them in plastic container that protects them. IF they are not worth storing, you can donate or sell these appliances.

It’s also a good time to toss out expired items in your fridge or pantry. This way, you won't have to worry about your family eating food that's past its prime. An added bonus: You'll gain so much extra space for the food you're suddenly stockpiling.

BATHROOM

check that you're not using products that may be expired and could cause skin irritation. If you have empty bottles to toss out, check to see if they can be recycled.

LIVING ROOM

Grab a basket or a bin and walk around the room. Pick up anything that doesn’t belong in your living room and is contributing to an obvious state of mess and put it in the basket. Return items that belong in another room to their storage spaces, then return living room items to their proper space.

These are just a few basic tips to keep your home organized.

Take the opportunity to help those who need it most. We hope to see you soon!
